The Art
in the JOURNEY
I live in the small town of Franklin, NC located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. I have held a twenty-year career as a graphic designer, primarily in the newspaper industry. As of recently, it is a path I look to continue in freelance design.
Being a designer has never been just a form of income, but a choice that turned into opportunities that I'm truly grateful for. I learn something new on a regular basis and it is an exciting, creative challenge that I put my heart into!

02
Pet Portraits
With my role as a designer being my primary focus, painting has always been more so a hobby of mine... one that I find just as rewarding! The pet portraits I offer are acrylic paintings on approximately 4-5" wood slices. These are created and packaged with quality aesthetics in mind — and make great Christmas presents!

NOTE: The more detailed the photo reference, the more detailed the painting. Closeups work best!
03
Other Artwork
If you like what you see of my painting style in the pet portrait section of my portfolio, feel free to contact me about other drawing or painting projects you have in mind!
04
Photography
While I do not currently have the setup to offer professional photography, I do enjoy taking photos (examples in my portfolio and displayed throughout website). It is a foundational element in my approach to art and design, along with the inspirational graphics I create for social media.
This may be an area I expand on in the near future.
